A ferromagnet(FM)/antiferromagnet(AFM) bilayer will exhibit a shifted hysteresis loop if it is experienced by a magnetic field cooling procedure or it is deposited in a magnetic field. This phenomenon is called exchange bias (EB). It plays very important roles in both MTJs and SVs. We have done extensive experimental and theoretical studies on the positive EB effect, angular dependence of exchange bias (ADEB), training effect, rotational hysteresis loss, and some other related EB phenomena.
